Are We Finally Getting A Soul Eater Remake?!

I know I keep on writing articles about Soul Eater and how it might get a remake, or how I want it to get a remake, but I think this finally might be the news that we’ve been waiting to hear. The Soul Eater x Fire Force mobile game collab is what we’ve been waiting for!!!

Now that’s just a meme. Well, not the collab, but it being the big news. What really got people excited was the new promotional art of Maka and Soul for Soul Eater 15th anniversary.

This art was posted on Studio Bones official Twitter page, and there will be a special event held on April 7th, selling new merchandise and other announcements. Now if it is an announcement on the anime, what would you want, a second season, or a complete remake from start to finish?

Always loved the manga style.

Since it’s been so long, I would rather get a complete remake that just follows the manga purely and keeps all its style intake. But, I do feel kind of weird, since the Fire Force anime isn’t over yet, and it’s pretty much a prequel to Soul Eater. I feel like a Soul Eater remake would feel weird airing while Fire Force is still being worked on and airing. Why mix the two at this point?

But, I’ll be sure to keep all you Soul Eater fans in the loop, and hopefully we get some good news on April the 7th.

Maka Albarn is my favourite character in all of fiction, and I would pay nearly any price to see the full manga adapted. Except the last chapter. I always advise people to never read the last chapter. Ending it right before then makes it both bleak and painful, but not hopeless. Including the last chapter kills all pathos and undercuts everything I loved about the entire arc up to that point.

Man I haven't been into Soul Eater for quite a while now. Season 2 sounds more appealing than a remake although as you said, it will be awkward given Fire Force is still in the works.

I really want this remake t happen. I have been wanting to see the real last fight between Mifune and Blackstar for so long. Not to mention Eibon's book Arc is top tier comedy.

I like Soul Eater, but I don't know if I'd want a remake and/or a second season (please no), mostly since I read the manga, and the ending of it was rather lacking (a bit better than the anime, but only by a bit imo). Now if we're talking about a remake that fleshes the series out even more than the manga did and goes for a more satisfying ending, then sure (although I doubt it).

So, does this mean that the best sign that we might get an anime remake of "Rosario + Vampire" (that follows both seasons of the manga to the letter) is by seeing a collaboration of said series with a mobile game?
