Studio Ghibli, an animation studio that has crafted some of our childhood memories, some would even say they crafted some of the best anime movies of all time. A studio that has a distinctive art style, that you can point out a mile away as their own…UNTIL NOW!!!

That’s right, anyone can have that Ghibli magical art style using A.I., that amazing tool that seemed to get wrapped up in controversy every once a week. And this one is going crazy and rampant with how much it’s producing and people are uploading.

And like always, we have people who are glazing it, and people who are against it.

And I have the same stance as I’ve always had. If it’s just for fun, I see no issue with it. It seems cool to like, slap my picture into an app, and make it look like the Ghibli art style. Now, I would hope that the app was made or at least owned by Ghibli themselves, because by all rights, it’s they’re art style. But if the app maker isn’t making money off of it, then I might be cool with it. But, speak of the devil…

Someone seemingly did make an app already, but the app seemingly didn’t last long.

Now I’m not sure if this is real or not, since everyone nowadays lies just to gain some clout. But if this is true, just respect the original creators. You didn’t create the art style and this is not some creative endeavor. You’re using A.I., to copy someone else's work, and get the praise because of it. Stop acting like they’re taking something away from you. With stuff like this popping its ugly head up time and time again, I feel like something big is going to happen law wise. When people start using A.I. to create fake voice messages of celebrity saying really fucked up and illegal things, or generaticing pictures of people in unlawful situation. These kinds of people are really going to think twice about acting like it’s all just fun and games.
