Isn't it crazy how good Assassin's Creed Shadows is doing? You know, the game that many people called WOKE, that the Japanese people hated, that was doomed to fail? Well, it’s looking like it’s winning in every way possible.
And people are mad about it.
That’s right, people are mad about gay relationships in a game where you can choose not to interact with it, and also isn’t available in the canon route. They’re mad about 2 hour long end credits, which I will admit, is LONG as fuck, but since you can skip them, why would it be considered an actual problem? Mad that Assassin’s Creed is using Chinese for a Japanese game, which was soon pointed out to be a lie, and was actually Japanese words. These people are trying their best to find something wrong with this game. If you don’t like it, that’s fine, but why care so much about a game that you hate to the level of nitpicking and finding fake issues, just to shit on it. I guess that must mean the game is really amazing if you have to force hate on it.
Stay mad.
And when the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter page blow you out the water, that’s when you know you fucked up.
People are trying to say this is a L for Assassin’s Creed, since it’s a business account and they should stay professional. But I think it’s the total opposite. This is what sells this day in age, this is what people enjoy seeing, this is what’s going to get the clicks and people talking about Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This was an amazing move by the Assassin’s Creed social media manager. As someone who works as a social media manager themselves, I approve of this.
It’s funny how I feel like everyone who hated on Assassin’s Creed Shadows and wanted it to fail, has kind of made the opposite happen. I feel like the game has gained even more traction and spotlight because of all the hate. The game is seemingly doing great, and the people who thought it was going to fail are seemingly doing…not so great. Happy to see another win for gamers, and not fakers who pretend to like games.
What do you think of the whole Assassin’s Creed Shadows drama? Do you think what the Assassin’s Creed Twitter account did was smart? Have you played Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Tell us in the comments.
On the Japan side on places like Yahoo JP it's the same thing: users are asking, why does it say "players" not "sales"? There's comments asking, "what is the definition of "player"? If
