Hades 2 is looking good, well, the gameplay is looking good. And don’t get me wrong, the art style is still good, but many people, including me, think that some of the personality and uniqueness of the old style is lost with the new direction they decided to go.

Like I said, it doesn’t look bad at all. It just doesn’t have the same, UMFU!!! the old style had. But if I had to point out something that I actually think is a downgrade, it would be the redesign of Artemis.

Artemis easily got the worst out of all of them. If I’m being honest, at first, I wasn’t really even on other peoples side that the new art style was a downgrade. Yeah, it might not be what it used to be, but it still looked good. But seeing Artemis made me rethink my whole mind set on the new character portraits.

Atleast the hentai will always look good.

This isn’t a deal breaker when it comes to buying the game, but it does make me wonder what made them go in this direction. Many people have voiced their complaints about the new art style, and that seems like the major complaint when it comes to the early game testing that some were able to be a part of. So I do wonder if Supermassive Games intended on maybe changing it back to something close to the old style, or sticking with what they already have.
