Doujins.com has recently become a hotspot for COVID-19 transmission. Every day we have thousands upon thousands of people coming to the site which is way over the “10 people gathering” that has been outlined by the administration and independent healthcare organizations. These people click on multiple doujins, and often every single page in a doujin when they decide to read through the entire title. Many do not see the need of washing their hands before reading through a doujin which means any subsequent viewers will pick up COVID-19 as the virus can live on hard spaces (like a doujin page) for around three days.

Another big problem in our fight is that our website specifically urges people to touch their bodies. It’s not uncommon for readers to touch their face, nose, dick, pussy, boobs, manboobs, etc. while reading doujins. These are all dangerous areas to be spreading the virus to and once against contradict everything that is being recommended by leading health experts around the globe during this pandemic. We cannot in our right conscience continue to support this behavior and believe that if we even save one person from touching at-risk parts of their body by shutting down, then this decision will be worth it.

At that point the virus merely works its way into the inner workings of the ear and onward toward the brain causing immediate and serious repercussions.
