Disney Bishonen Villain Gacha Game Gets Anime Adaptation
By Yung Namahage • 2 years ago

You won't find anything related to Twisted-Wonderland at Disney World in Epcot, but over in Japan it's one of the Mouse's hottest properties.

What the hell is Twisted-Wonderland, I hear you ask? Basically, a  mobile gacha/VN/rhythm game set in a reverse isekai boarding school inhabited by hot guys based on various Disney villains depending on their house. There's a Maleficient house, a Queen of Hearts house, a Hades house, you get the idea. The story, concept and designs all come from Black Butler creator Yana Taboso, which makes a ton of sense when you see these characters.

A manga adaptation was released in March this year, and more recently Disney have announced a collaboration with Aniplex to create an anime based on the game. That's pretty much all they said other than that it's inevitably coming to Disney+, but what's interesting about that is it'll be released worldwide, making it the first time Twisted-Wonderland content will be released in Japan. Sure, this kind of thing has its audience, but the horny aura of this is unlike anything Disney have put out in the west lately.

Is the rest of the world ready to see a bunch of sexy anime boys based on Ursula and Scar, considering how sexless Disney's western content is? Are you? Let us know in the comments below!
