The Fear of Getting a Prostate Exam

In my recent Dr. Pussycat article, I talked about going to the doctor and getting a prostate exam. Now I know that I’m nervous for the day that I finally have to get one, but hell, like I said in the article, I might just risk it and avoid the whole process in general. With most of the viewers on Doujins.com being adults, then I’m sure most of you are soon going to have to do it, if not already did it. So today what I’m wondering is, how many of you guys are actually scared of getting a prostate exam?

Okay, if this happened, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

The big thing about a prostate exam is that most of us don’t want a complete stranger putting a finger up our asses. Hell, most of us wouldn’t want someone we knew fingers up or asses. My ass is gross, and I feel bad for anyone who has to stick their finger in there. I know that it’s a check up to see if you have cancer, but I’m sure I don’t have it...maybe. And I’m sure that the doctor doing the check up wouldn’t be awkward about it since they most likely do it all the time, but I’m going to be awkward about it. I also don’t know if it’ll be worse to have a male doctor do it or a female doctor. This isn’t hentai where after the female doctor does your prostate exam and sees you have a boner, she’ll give you a blowjob.

Yeah, this shit ain't going to happen.

And if you guys think I’m memeing, I’m not. I honestly might not get a prostate check up, unless someone forces me to. That’s how serious I am about not wanting to do it. I know it’ll be one of those things, once it’s over, it’s over. But I don’t think I even want to get to that point. Also, I’m not gay. If I get a prostate exam, that’ll make me gay!!! (it’s sad that I feel like I have to say that the last sentence was a joke)

Are you afraid to get a prostate exam? Would you risk not getting one? Have you gotten your prostate examined already? Tell us in the comments.

If it's for health go for it. It will save your life. But realistically this is for those who are at a certain age that I'm sure most on here haven't reached yet. As a kink it just isn't my thing at all, it'd be more pleasant eating Chun-Li out for hours on end imho

Kinky its your life. But I've known people, friends of my dad, who died of prostate cancer. Just be mature about it. Your doctor will.

Also, you should definitely be wary of any medications doctors offer you. Most doctors these days only treat symptoms and not the root causes. The drugs they give you will often not fix the problem and give you a bunch of other issues. Make sure you do your research and know what you are taking and what effects it will have.

It's an important medical procedure and there's nothing sexy about it.

Technically it is optional. But if you are at risk, go and check. The doctor is a professional. They'll know what to do and they'll tell you what to do.
Unless you live in the US, in which case, hope you have insurance.

If you're not experiencing symptoms, then you really don't need to bother with a digital rectal prostate exam. It's more about getting your PSA checked as you age. If you do have any symptoms, such as not being able to void completely, or having a "full" feeling, then you should definitely get it checked.

Don't be afraid of getting it, prostate is super common, but easily treatable cancer for men. My brother's a nurse and spent some time in a urology clinic; the doctor there says it's almost a mathematical certainty the prostate will develop abnormally as you age, citing a study that 2/3 of elderly men that die have undiagnosed, although benign, cancerous tumors.
