I think it is more of a power thing, with people thinking of stealing a girl with their sexual prowess as a way of being 'more of a man' than the other. You can really see that by how the insult 'cuck' is used to insult other people by the incel community, who heavily associate sexual domination with manhood.

I've heard a few stories of men with tiny penises getting "cucked" because their girlfriends were hypersexual and "needed" to have sex with men with very large penises. However, I agree with Eroforever, I think it's all about skill, cause at least that's what I've also been told by my sexual partners. I don't think it's ever the 'quality of pussy or cock' it'd be more how much better at sex they are. I've talked to a woman, at length, on the subject of sex for them and it always boils down to skill and technique rather than size. Honestly, overall, I do not like those stories. The girl cheats on her boyfriend and then end up breaking up just because she wants the other guy's cock. It makes me feel sick, given if women are like that, then guys with average dicks would never have a chance. So thinking about it, I say it must be rare for a girl to cheat just because the other guy have a bigger dick to make her enjoy sex

I think the term "I can't live without your dick" is meant more to be about the skill with which it was used. Kinda like in LOTR when they say "You have my Sword/Bow/Axe" they are not handing the actual fucking weapon over, they are offering their skills with the weapon. Thats what is being said here.
