Lesbians, Elves and Adventures in this RPG
By Yung Namahage • 4 years ago

Remember Snowed IN? The debut project of Rascal Devworks? They're back and their sophomore project looks way more ambitious than their previous visual novel.

Rascal's next project is an isekai yuri romance RPG/visual novel that follows that isekai trope of having a weirdly long title. Say it with me: After I Met That Catgirl, My Questlist Got Too Long!  But in an interesting aversion of the usual isekai trappings (as far as I'm aware), the protagonist isn't the one who comes from another world. You play as Vera, a lesbian charm witch from the fantasy land of Morphea. She happens upon a cute catgirl named Téa who claims to be a human that comes from a mysterious, far-off land known as "London." Vera and Téa unite to form a guild, go on quests, uncover mysteries, and ultimately, meet more cute girls.

It all starts with a catgirl...

Cutscenes are done in a visual novel style while the core gameplay is a top-down RPG with great sprites, evocative of classic JRPGs. Every party member has unique battle abilities and distinct personalities. Speaking of personality, the world itself is rich with it, with over 100 quests, NPCs with evolving dialogue based on the outcomes of said quests and, naturally, plenty of (all female) romance options. And yes, the full game will have an H-patch.

The game was put up for crowdfunding on Kickstarter and you'll be pleased to know that they've already surpassed their goal! But if you want to fund voice acting or just want some goodies there's still some time left to chip in. Donate €75 and you can even get a dakimakura cover, among other rewards. There's a free demo available on Steam with about 10% of the full game including bonding events and CGs if you want a taste, or you could check out the Kickstarter page for more info and to become a backer if this has caught your fancy.

Catgirl's Questlist is set to release early 2020. Will be looking forward to it? Drop your thoughts below!
