Ah fuck. For Jack-O mains this has been such an amazing week that all other sources of serotonin pale in comparison. For everyone else, this has been a horrible announcement that now we all have to deal with Jack-O minions again in the game. Oh well, such is life. Jack-O is the second character to be revealed in the first season pass of Strive, which has been tearing up the charts in the casual and hardcore fighting game communities thanks to its good ass implementation of rollback netcode. Hell I personally know it’s good because I’m currently in the middle of bum fuck country dirt roads no where for a vacation and my matches are still smooth as hell. Anyway, now Jack-O is on her way and will be playable on August 27th. You can peep out a short trailer from Arc Sys, the game’s developer, below.

Okay let’s get into the meat and potatoes. The real reason I had to write this article is I’m curious how much about Jack-O they’ll change other than raw gameplay. For starters, this bitch had one of the lewdest win screens in Guilty Gear where the camera literally zooms in on her ass and she shakes it for .5 seconds. Don’t worry, I’m already linking to a short video so you can see for yourself below this, everybody chill out. Additionally, even her damn basic crouch animation really put her ass on display for the world to see. Examples below.

So how much of this lewdness will be preserved? I surmise very little. Considering the huge global audience that Strive has garnished and the already toned down nature of the game in terms of sexuality, I don’t see them leaving all these ass shots in. Especially if you note that I-No’s win screen in Rev 2 was to face away from the camera and take her top off and that was completely removed in Strive. Personally I don’t mind it much if at all. I can’t be bothered to appreciate a character’s fanservice in a fighting game cause I’m too busy trying to beat opponents during matches. I know some people will probably be disappointed though. On the bright side, you can bet your ass (pun intended) that someone will start making nude Jack-O mods within the hour of her official release.

Either way I know I’ll try her out for the heck of it when she arrives (but give my man Golddick some buffs ArcSys I need my fat American representation to be decent) . Are you guys into Strive?
