Is RWBY Turning SJW?

RWBY Volume 6 is getting better and better each episode, going back to the RWBY we know and love. For many, RWBY has been hitting a downward trend starting with Volume 4 and continuing in Volume 5. But with Volume 6, the complaints of no fight scenes and bad animation gone, people found something new the be mad about. And that’s the fact that Rooster Teeth is pushing their SJW agenda into RWBY.

The agenda is strong with this one

Some complaints are about the inclusion of a lesbian couple, Jaune sister. Another complaint is how all the male characters are either not getting any screen time, like Jaune and Rin, or being completely useless, like Qrow and Oscar.

Now my opinion on this is a simple one. I do believe that Rooster Teeth is trying to diversify the series up to appeal to the newer generation. Now I don’t think having diversity in a series is bad, but when you’re doing it just to appeal to a certain kind of audience, that’s when I think it’s looks gross and not genuine. Example, if Blake and Yang got together, I wouldn’t mind, since it has always been hinted that Blake and Yang could have deeper feeling for each other. But, if for some weird reason, Jaune and Qrow start having feeling for each other because “We need to shove a gay couple into RWBY!” that’s when I think it’s stupid and unnecessary.

"Qrow being gay?! Not if I have anything to say about it." An article on Vic Mignogna coming soon.

In the end of the day, Rooster Teeth has a hold of RWBY, and if they’re pushing some SJW, LGBTQ+, or feminist agenda, we can’t do anything about it. All we can hope is that they’re not stepping on Monty’s vision by how they’re progressing the story and that he’s happy with the direction it’s going. His opinion is more important than anyone’s at the end of the day.

Do you think RWBY is going in a bad direction? Is Rooster Teeth trying to push some SJW agenda? Those fight scenes are lit though, right? Tell us in the comments below.

RWBY was practically started on badass chicks fighting bad guys, Monty's thing was badass chicks that could fight. Qrow's uselessness as of late, he IS in a severe depression ever since finding out that everything he's been fighting for might (95%) be pointless. Oscar is still green. Jaune's sister, don't care if gay only that she's done well. Blake and Yang, how far back has that been hinted at?

Who fucking cares? RWBY is fucking trash to begin with

Rwby is beginning to be boring. Yang is a feminist that doesn't believe in equal rights.

You do realize that Lesbians exist outside of porn right?

Interestingly, I find the show to be quite balanced in terms of its focus between male and female characters. Jaune has had a VERY large amount of character development lately, and he's starting to come into his own. He's far from useless, as seen in the fight with the giant mech, and Qrow is being the deadbeat that he always has been.

Having watched it since the beginning, and being acutely sensitive to SJW horseshit's odor, I have this to say: Not really no. Oscar has actually been useful, as has Jaune, Qrow is finally not day-drinking and his help with the Mech is good. As for pushing gay again, not really, we have one couple, and Yang's bisexual, from all indications.

no, I don't think it is.

i don't think they mean to. I mean RWBY was always about Ruby and her team being the MC. Complaining about that is like complaining that Senran Kagura is perverted while being a fan of it. Jaune and the other guys not getting any development/screen time isn't unusual as they are side characters, and not because they're guys. Plus we haven't really got anything on her have we?

I'll admit I'm a bit concerned that they're being swayed a bit more than is healthy by loud segments of the fanbase but the show's not really bad, not yet anyway. The inclusion of gay characters isn't bad in itself, neither is having important characters pair off during the story's progression but including such things for no real reason but to draw a certain demographic is just pandering.

I hardly ever watch RWBY anymore. I knew which direction it was heading to.

Jaune vomiting on a plane during his first scene. Torchwick dying. The lead girls defeating all the men. Jaune, again, taking 5 volumes to be at a point where he can keep up (after being a butt monkey for that long).

Fun fact, that pilot that was flying Weiss to Atlas before they well when watching the commentary of the show, HE! Was suppose to be also gay "I can't wait to go home to my man" was suppose to be one of his lines. They scraped it though cause they found it weird on introducing a gay only to kill him off.
