Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Shibuya Incident Arc is already coming in with a bang. The first start of the arc is slowly getting us back into the swing of things and reintroducing us to the cast, and the cute little banter the group is known for.
The gang is back at it again.
Which is going to make it all the more sad when they get horribly broken and scarred from the Shibuya Incident. But before that, I want to talk about Nobara’s love issue.
When the thought of Yuji getting a girlfriend came to Nobara’s mind, her heart skipped a beat. She confirmed with Megumi that it was because the thought of Yuji getting a girlfriend before her made her mad. But is that a completely true statement?
Personally, I hope her statement was true. Jujutsu Kaisen has already shown that it's not a typical shonen. It’s not like Naruto and Black Clover. It’s more in the vein of Hunter x Hunter, which I like. Her getting with Yuji would be the typical shonen route. But I really support the thought of Nobara getting with Maki.
It has already been shown that Nobara thinks highly of Maki, and had some cute interactions with her. I don’t feel like it’s out of the realm of possibility for these two to be a thing.
Hell, Maki already gives off that lesbian energy sometimes, even though she did have a thing for Yuta. He already has Rika, so she doesn’t have a chance in hell with him. And that could just mean she’s bi. She likes boys and girls.
So I do hope that Nobara doesn’t have feelings for Yuji and it’s just not the generic obvious shonen pairing we always get. Nobara and Yuji work better as super close friends, not romantic partners. It’s not like I’m a yuri supporter like Snooze, where I want every female character to get with each other and fuck. I just think Maki and Nobara make more sense overall.
