Fragtime: Time Freezing Lesbian Shenanigans Gets Animated
By Yung Namahage • 5 years ago

Until today, I don't think I've heard of yuri and time manipulation crossing over apart from in Life is Strange. Then I heard about a certain manga from 2013 by an author known as Sato, which is getting an anime adaptation later this year, and it certainly piqued my interest.

Fragtime is the story of Misuzu Moritani, a somewhat pervy schoolgirl who posesses the ability to freeze time for a few minutes each day; a power she tends to utilise for less-than-wholesome purposes. After using her time powers to peek up the skirt of her cute classmate Haruka Murakami, she finds that she may not be as omnipotent as she imagined since Haruka can also move while time is frozen. Is it just me or does that situation sound kind of familiar?

Anyway, Misuzu and Haruka begin an unlikely friendship, using the former's time stopping power to get up to no good and spy on their classmates. Over time, the pair's friendship begins to blossom into something more, as is expected of the yuri genre.

Other details are sparse at the moment, but you can check the official (Japanese) website here. Are you a fan of yuri? Do you think ZA WARUDO is an interesting twist in a girl-girl love story? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
