Did Bandai Censor Halibel?

I’m not sure how many people are actually serious about this, and how many people are just doing it as a joke. But BLEACH Rebirth of Souls is getting closer and closer to its release date, Mar 20, 2025, and with dropping a character every Monday, people are hoping to see their favs. And luckily for the gooners, their fav has finally arrived.

Now Imma be honest, I think Halibel's character model and gameplay looks great. But, some people are less focused about her gameplay, and more so focusing on her looks. And I’m not talking about her graphics.

Some people are kind of upset by the Halibel character design the team at Bandai decided to go with. It’s not like this design or her being covered up in this way is anything new. But, people were hoping for something closer to her manga design more so than her anime design.

This could be done for different reasons, but one of those reasons isn’t because of DEI. The most likely reason is so they can have a T rating instead of a M rating. Teens wouldn’t be able to handle the Halibel underboob.

I’m still going back and forth on if I’m getting this game or not, but luckily we all still have a month to decide.

What do you think of Halibel's design? Is this because of DEI? Are you getting BLEACH Rebirth of Souls? Tell us in the comments.

I’m fine with using the censored version of her Release Form. But I do wish they kept her dark skin darker like the original rather than how we got it here.

Other than that, Well to the game Tier Halibel!

The amount of intelligent comments about ratings boards is frightening me. Stop. Please.

Fr tho, better than some of the steam posts I have seen. There has been one good answer that at least tried to explain it on steam.

I just wish they went with the sling bikini look rather than the extremely obvious "we changed the color of her skin to make it look like she's wearing more" that they went with for her top. And make her bottoms bootyshorts/bloomers with boneskirt rather than whatever skirt they added, it looks awkward.

So... Over-boob is fine, but under-boob is obscene?

Hate to play devil's advocate but unless they want the rating elevated to M for mature and limit it's audience potential, they are playing it safe. Even if it's coming off as censorship from the OG anime. At least we still have Yoruichi and her iconic spandex pants, can imagine how many a new player will get an insta boner and suddenly find their nether regions sticky playing as her.

Western Media/Society sex is censored unless it is real life porn or violence is tolerated, and Eastern Media/Society violence is censored but sex is tolerated. USA for example censors sex aka Japanese products but tolerates violence like Saw, Doom etc. Japan as a example will censor violence but tolerate sex. Depending on your country if you study world history the Kama Sutra came from India.

ERSB and CERO Rating.

If you keep the underboob, then they have to raise the age rating for the game which will affect sales. More people aren't going to buy a game solely because of exposed underboob. Most people buying this game are most likely Bleach fans and young boys still living at home with their parents and sharing the tv.

Cut it with this DEI bullcrap and realize it's business execs.

I'm just glad to see her, and still plan on getting it because I want to hear what Takeharu Ishimoto has done with the OST.
