I thought this series was over years ago, but today I’m here to announce Black Butler is back from the dead. I remember watching the original season one, though I have to say my knowledge of anime and general brain activity back then was so low I can’t say at all whether the first season was good or not. I remember I thought it was so sick that the angels were bad and the demons were good but that’s probably because it was the first time I ever saw that concept. Anyway, Crunchyroll announced at AnimeExpo that everyone’s favorite hellish butler is back. They specified this is not a remake, rather a new season entirely. It’s expected to drop in 2024. Personally after finishing the first season I moved on to the second… and completely lost interest. We now focused on some new character that was depicted as an insufferable asshole. I’m sure he develops and grows later on but I couldn’t make it past the first few episodes without thinking “this ain’t my Black Butler” constantly. Thus I dropped off and have no idea where this subsequent season is planning on picking up. Hopefully it’s made where fans can just drop in and pick up the narrative pieces without needing to have seen all the prior seasons but who knows. Perhaps I’ll peep it out regardless merely to relive the old nostalgia of just starting to watch anime regularly even if I’m lost as fuck. 

One thing is for certain, I trust the horny fangirls are in full swing for this one. Back in the day my boys Sebastian and Ciel were nothing less than sex icons for every female anime watcher ever. Hell I even kinda hoped the angel Ashe was gonna fuck up Sebastian’s face a bit cause no man deserves to be that sexy. Good thing he’s merely one hell of a butler.
