Stone Ocean will be the first part of JoJo that I watch in its entirety. Up till now I never found time to go back and watch any of the other series and I wasn’t into anime back when JoJo was at its height in popularity with Dio memes flying around everywhere. I’ve always wanted to check out the show though so I’m happy to see what this bizarre adventure has in store. The first episode immediately set itself apart from other anime and I can see why this series would have a large audience. Also, it's only a coincidence that I’m finally watching JoJo now that we have a hot female main character. Luck of the draw I tell you. After the first episode which wasn’t afraid to get a bit lewd, this shit did immediately make me wonder: will this bring JoJo to fame in the sex world?
JoJo has long dominated the world of memes. Even today you may find it hard to spend a day on the Internet and not stumble across one. That chance is reduced even further if you visit Reddit that day. However even with the influx of female characters to the series, I still don’t think JoJo can expect much lewd content down the pipeline. Don’t get me wrong, rule 34 will persist regardless of the series. Sure there’s some lewd art piling up. But nothing crazy. Hell, for this article I looked around for any kind of porn that would fit the cover image space and found nothing really worth writing home about. Ultimately I ended up choosing an image directly from the show itself. Meanwhile you can’t go five seconds without some lewd Komi-san art slapping you in the face (another anime that was released this season). You’d think with Jolyne talking about masturbating in the beginning of the first episode, more quality content might be out there. And while there may be some smoking hot Jolyne cosplays on the Web, it simply hasn’t reached the traction of Komi and other series.
I mean there IS lewd art... but I'm afraid I'll pass.
I have a few theories as to why. For one, regardless of what the characters are talking about involving sex, the JoJo artstyle is probably not condusive to horniness for most people. JoJo is known for sharp lined, insanely muscular men duking it out with stands. Personally I think Jolyne is 110% fuckable but I can see how the harsh arstyle may be a turn off for many fappers. What I think killed it even more so though is the fact that this JoJo part was released all at once on Netflix. With Komi, we received a few episodes every week or so which gave artists time to pick out specific kinks or moments from each episode to lewd. This has spread out the popularity of the anime over time. The Internet loves to move fast you see so having new content for the community to discuss and interact with each week can do wonders for engagement. On the other hand Netflix said BOOM here’s a ton of episodes thank you very much everybody. This forces artists to pick and choose very rapidly what moments to take for inspiration before everybody’s moved on to something else.
Alright I've learned my lesson. I'll check back for more Jolyne porn later down the road.
