Well, that is, if it comes out this year. I feel like us and most of the anime community were sad when Chainsaw Man got delayed last year. It was supposed to come out in November 2021, but got pushed back a year. Now, here we are in 2022, getting Chainsaw Man PVs, trailers, and poster shots. But I’ll be honest, even with the hype for Chainsaw Man building up. I’m still afraid that it might get delayed another year. But, let’s not get sad talking about the what ifs, let’s talk about it ifs. And if Chainsaw Man is released this year, will it be the anime of the year?

That question at first was hit with the easy answer of yes, no doubt about it. But that was before Spy x Family started airing. Spy x Family has been making moves and treading on most people's anime feeds. Spy x Family is nothing to turn an eye from, and with each episode, the show just keeps getting better and Anya just keeps getting cuter.

My Hero next season is also supposed to air this year, but if we’re talking about completely new anime, then Chainsaw Man's only real competition so far is Spy x Family, I can’t think of anything else that’s new that could really stand up to these two shows. Well, I know me and Snooze loved ourselves some Tokyo 24th Ward, but no one cares about that GODLIKE show but us.
