I’m pretty sure most people aren't hype about the Netflix live action Yu Yu Hakusho. I feel like it’s going to be interesting to see how they pull it off and what they do with it. But I’m pretty sure no one was asking for a live action Yu Yu Hakusho. Which got me thinking. If Netflix is going to waste their money giving people a Yu Yu Hakusho that no one wants. Why not waste their money on a Yu Yu Hakusho that people do want. Like a remake.

Remakes are seemingly starting to be the trend when it comes to anime recently. We’ve been getting so many remakes of old shows and anime classics, that it’s starting to shine light on old series that many new and younger anime fans missed out on, and Yu Yu Hakusho could be one of those classics. It’s considered one of the best shonen series by many, so a remake would be a great idea.

This could be the visuals for the remake.

And the reason I think Netflix can do it, or atleast help out with it, is because Netflix already did Devilman Crybaby. An anime classic lost within its time, coming back in a new way and being a hit with many. It was a success, so just do it again with Yu Yu Hakusho and stop with all these live action anime movies for anime that don’t need them.

But, even if Netflix doesn’t do it, I do still want a remake of Yu Yu Hakusho. I feel like the original Yu Yu Hakusho anime still holds up, but I feel like it would just be crazy to see it with a fresh new coat of paint, just like Hunter x Hunter 2011.
