The game Shenmue always interests me. It’s an old cult classic that many people loved from their past. Sadly, the newest release that every Shenmue fan was waiting for, Shenmue 3, didn’t sell well, and didn’t even finish the story of Shenmue. So for me, with how some people describe the gameplay of Shenmue, it felt like I would have to jump so many hurdles to try to get into it. But now, if the gameplay was the factor that scared people away, Crunchyroll and Adult Swim are collaborating to bring everyone Shenmue the Animation.

Not much about the project has come out yet, but the key visual for the art isn’t anything to scoff at. So now this gives people the chance to enjoy the Shenmue story without dealing with the mundane and tedious gameplay it’s known for. But I feel like for some big time Shenmue fans, not having the gameplay may be a deal breaker for them.
