The trailer for the One Piece Netflix series has finally dropped and it’s…not half bad.



If I can be honest, this looks better than most live action anime adaptations. Unlike most, they kept the characters the same, and even kept the character natural hair colors. Which I feel like they usually change because they think it would look weird, but it honestly looks suitable for the characters.

If I had to complain about anything, it would be that I really don’t like Luffy’s voice. And that Usopp nose isn’t LONG!!!

One of Usopp's most iconic features isn’t even there. Like, I get it, a long nose might look weird in live action. But I feel like they could have made his nose long while still making it look realistic. They were able to do it with the character's hair, why not with Usopp's nose.

Either way, when it comes to keeping the character faithful in looks, the team in charge of the live action adaptation did a pretty good job. Now that doesn’t really speak for the quality of the overall product, but we’ll get to see it once it finally sets sail on Netflix.
