See You In Overwatch 2, Space Cowboy
By WakeUpSnooze • 7 months ago

These days collabs are about the only thing Overwatch 2 has going for it in the eyes of the majority of the community and onlookers. Once again, the boys at Blizzard have put their main focus into collaborative content with an anime (previously One Punch Man) this time targeting the classic Cowboy Bebop. A stylish trailer was uploaded on March 7th that showcased the upcoming skins using the original anime’s opening and visuals. Unironically, it’s probably the best thing Blizzard has come up with yet in regards to OW2. The interested can peep the whole trailer below:

The skins will consist of Spike Spiegel Cassidy, Faye Valentine Ashe, Ed Sombra, Jet Black Mauga, and Ein Wrecking Ball. The latter of which will be available to unlock for free via event quests. At this point I must come clean and admit… yes I still haven’t watched it. It looks amazing, it looks fantastic, it’s a known staple of the anime world, and yet I’m sitting here like Squidward watching everyone get hype for these characters to return to the spotlight for a few weeks. On the brightside even with zero prior knowledge of the series, I’m still tempted by the Spike and Faye skins. Regardless of my feelings on the game or Blizzard, this is the kind of crossover content I appreciate. It’s clear whoever worked on the trailer loved the original media and worked diligently to recapture that nostalgia. With so many lackluster collabs happening in the gaming space these days (looking at you, Street Fighter 6 and Call of Duty) they could have lazed out which would be very in character for Blizzard execs. Instead this looks like a nice crossover that remembers one of the most impactful anime ever produced.

Is this a good time to ask for more Faye lewds?

The famous crew will land in our solar system on March 12 which is tomorrow, so interested parties should get ready to hop in. These bounties aren’t gonna complete themselves! Have you seen Cowboy Bebop? Did you hear about this crossover? Do you think the team did a good job recreating the opening?
