Chainsaw Man is basically all the talk right now in the world of anime. Us lewd boys are enticed by the fap material and sexual themes in the show, the normal anime boys are enjoying the crazy action and plot setup, and the creeps are busy collecting lewd figurines that cost way too much. Okay okay let me chill it’s fine to collect what you want (well, most of the time), and this time MAPPA is wanting to get in on the commissions as they have announced a Power figure coming to the Shibuya Scramble Figurine online store. What’s more they announced a giveaway of three figurines too, though I have about as much faith in those as I do winning the lottery. Regardless, the piece got some attention due to some obvious reasons.

This pose is from the recent episode where apparently this scene was recreated from the already famous manga chapter. For those not watching the show, Denji the MC wants to cop a feel very badly, but so far has been unsuccessful. In this scene Power offers him three boob squeezes since he has helped her in three significant ways so far. This was after we saw her clogging the toilet a little bit before that, but let bygones be bygones my friends. While I don’t plan on purchasing the figurine, this did make me appreciate the art a bit more. Usually I see anime figures as just “Kirito slashes swords” or some shit. However, how many figurines are actually depicting iconic stances or poses that I’m simply unaware of due to not watching the source material in the first place? Seeing them in that new light did add some value to them for me. Uh, not $200 worth of value though. 

Chainsaw Man continues to dominate charts, hearts, and… farts? Something like that. I’m sure some fans will cop up these models in no time. While I still have to stay on the side that anime figurines are a huge money sink that provides little to no value in return, understanding that many figurines may be recreating iconic moments in the series’s history definitely alters my opinion a bit.
