I just noticed that I’m going to be writing a lot of Jujutsu Kaisen articles this season, so just work with me here. I wanted to talk about the Mechamaru and Mahito fight, and something very important that they decided to cut out, but put something else in its place.

First of all, the fight between the two was fucking epic. If you’re a mech fan, and into high energy mech series like Gurren Lagann, then this fight is going to have nutting for more. The same way Mechamaru couldn’t stop nutting over Miwa.

And that’s how we get to the point of this article. Miwa. The whole episode throughout showed us how much Miwa meant to Mechamaru. It was sweet, and very sad knowing that Mechamaru wanted a body to be with his friends-I mean, Miwa.

This is the thing that was cut and also changed in the anime. In the anime, Mechamaru had a huge focus on wanting to see Miwa, but in the manga, it was more so his friends. Now I know people don’t like when the anime changes things up from the manga. But, after looking at both, I feel like the anime putting the focus on Mechamaru’s feelings towards Miwa, hit more strongly, and felt more personal. The directing of the scene helped a ton as well.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 hasn't even dived into the reason this arc is known as the best in the series so far, and it’s already been having me on the edge of my seat. If I haven’t even gotten to the good parts yet, I don’t think my little heart is going to be able to take it.
