I’ve always had the pleasure of at least having one person accompany me to a restaurant. Hell, I’ve had the luck of having one person accompany me when going to a fast food restaurant. Now the thing is, even though I had that luck, some people don’t have the same luck. I would see some people sitting and eating alone in a fast food restaurant. Sometimes even in a regular restaurant. And I’m just like, that couldn’t be me chief.

A fast food restaurant is one thing, but a normal sit down restaurant, no no no. I wouldn’t do it in a fast food joint, so I as hell wouldn’t do it in a normal restaurant. Restaurants already have this public and group feel to it. Eating and sitting alone in a restaurant just seems sad and like you didn’t have anyone that wanted to come with you or that you don’t have friends. You’re sitting at a booth, a booth is meant for multiple people, not one. At that point, I would just ask for take out and eat at home.

I never understood people who make the conscious decision to eat alone at a restaurant, but more power to them I guess. But now with Uber Eats and other food delivery services is a thing, that doesn’t have to be a worry for us normal folks. Now we can have our loney restaurant meal in the comfort of our own home.
