Man Did Not Spend $62,000 On OnlyFans, Actually
By WakeUpSnooze • 4 months ago

It is with great regret and sadness that I must introduce this update information regarding one of my previous articles: the man who spent over $62,000 on OnlyFans. That story was downright crazy as it was, but apparently the truth of the matter has become stranger than fiction in a way. I definitely recommend reading that article first, but essentially the story was that a man spent a large sum of money on rapper and OnlyFans Creator Rubi Rose. People began to look into his background and found out he used to struggle with a porn addiction and appeared on the series True Life. A few days after Rubi Rose posted a pic of meeting him, he revealed he had gotten a tattoo to show his dedication. Rubi later posted several texts she received from him displaying a creepy and obsessive nature where he repeatedly asks to get with Rubi. Days afterwards on December 12, Adam of the No Jumper podcast tracked down the man to ask some questions. I’ll post the full video for the interested but it’s a long watch so I summarized the key points below. Based on the interview and believing this man at face value, this is the “real” story:

  1. He was contacted by Rubi’s marketing team and asked to take a picture. He was told it was for a promotional image and figured he would be compensated decently if it performed well, which the marketing team was confident it would. He knew he would be portrayed as a top spender.
  2. The texts and narrative were made by the marketing team to make him seem like an obsessive weirdo and he was not informed of this. He did in fact get a tattoo of Rubi Rose to sell the story, but he didn’t know how far the team would take it. He is not a porn addict and only resembles the person from the show True Life who actually had a porn addiction. He himself was never on the show. He is also not a rich crypto bro.
  3. He did not spend the $60,000+ on Rubi. He said that the transaction did happen, but not with his money. Therefore he alleges it was Rubi’s team themselves that donated the money to her. In other words it went nowhere.
  4. He now regrets joining in on the operation as his reputation has been damaged and people have recognized him as the creepy OnlyFans guy. He never anticipated such damage to his reputation from agreeing to do this “promotion” and wished the team would have been more transparent with how they planned to use his cooperation.

At the time of writing this update, there hasn’t been a response from Rubi or her team. Some people are quick to point out that this man could have spent the $62,000+ and sent the wild messages and is now trying to backtrack the actions by saying it was all a marketing team’s idea. However, based on how desperate people are for clout these days, I’m inclined to believe this was indeed a fake marketing ruse. And if so, what a shitty one too. Internet stalking and obsessive fans are a growing problem for many personalities online, and this whole stunt lessens how seriously people will take these types of situations in the future. Many were a bit worried that Rubi may receive serious harm from letting this man hang around, myself included. I can’t believe that the next time I hear a story like this, the first thing I’ll have to consider is “yeah she could be in danger, but hell it might just be a fake story for attention so who knows”.

Apologies for the long article without much to break it up, but I wanted to make sure I covered this wacky situation the best I could. On the bright side at least this made for a damn interesting situation to cover. In the future I’ll have to see how you guys feel about the place this man found himself in, but I’m afraid time’s up for today’s follow-up. Did you follow this story from the beginning? Did you ever suspect it was fake? Assuming it was a stunt, will artificially constructed scenarios like this lead to boy-cried-wolf attitudes? Win big and become a crypto bro, go on a TV show, spend money on porn, and discover none of it was real in the comments below!
