Lewd Cosplay Romance Manga Gets Anime
By Yung Namahage • 3 years ago

Tired of romantic comedy anime where the male lead spends most of his time getting teased or bullied by a tsundere meme waifu? Looking for something more wholesome and uplifting? Then this might be the anime for you!

Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru,  AKA My Dress-up Doll, follows Wakana Gojo, a high-schooler with a stunted social life due to childhood trauma. A loner whose only interest is following in the footsteps of his dollmaker grandfather, Wakana is interrupted one day while working on a costume for one of his dolls by his cute classmate Marin Kitagawa. Marin happens to be into cosplay, and insists that Wakana creates a costume for her. Wakana has never made a full human-sized costume before but he's drawn in by her outgoing and vibrant personalty - the polar opposite of his. So begins a relatonship with a nice mix of wholesome vibes, lewd moments, and, of course, sexy costumes. At least, going by the first few chapters I read.

The original manga by Shinichi Fukuda started in Square Enix's Young Gangan in 2018, and is still ongoing. Cast and release date etc. are still to be revealed, so watch this space for more info when the time is right.
