Yes I believe audio adds to the story as long as the story pertains to the listener's interests. I won't go into detail about that since I don't have a side to pick, this is purely opinion based.

Daddy play is not my thing. As for whether audio adds to a story, it depends on the quality of the story. For hentai like Ring X Mama, it absolutely adds to the story.
