Jolyne & Josuke Get their Own JoJo Manga Spin-offs
By Yung Namahage • 2 years ago

Not long left to go until the Stone Ocean anime drops, but there are no brakes on the JoJo hype train just yet.

Back when JoJolion ended we heard of a spin-off about Josuke Higashikata from Diamond is Unbreakable crossing paths with Hol Horse from Stardust Crusaders, written by Boogiepop & Others author Kouhei Kadano and illustrated by Tasuku Karasuma of No Guns Life fame. We now know this manga will be called Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak, and we have some cool key art to go with it.

That's not all: Josuke's great-niece Jolyne will also get a one-shot spin-off ahead of her anime debut. Fujiko's Bizarre Survival Skills -Whitesnake's Miscalculation- is written and illustrated by Kemono Jihen's Sho Aimoto. Set in Green Dolpin Street Prison, Jolyne comes across another prisoner begging someone else to draw a picture for her. GD Street has some great waifus as it is so I'm interested to see more of this Fujiko character and whatever connection she may have to Whitesnake. Furthermore, dayum Jolyne looks cute here.

Both manga will be released on December 18 and will be part of Ultra Jump's January issue. It's interesting that neither involves the iconic art of Hirohiko Araki, whose unique style is inseperable from the series' charm, but it'll also be cool to see other mangaka's takes on his characters. As long as that means we get more JoJo content while he focuses on creating JoJo Lands, I'll be happy.

Are you guys excited for more JoJo spin-offs? Which characters would you like to see in their own manga? Let us know in the comments!
