Insulting Microtransactions: Reticle Sight Costs $1 in Black Ops 4
By Kasaix • 5 years ago

Microtransactions are a hot-button issue. Oftentimes it's clear price-gouging. This right here is prime evidence of that. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has it's own in-game shop going on. Nothing new. However, this came up recently.

Pretty sure that's as shady as any black market. That's from a recently-expired sale, 50 whateverthehell points for a dot. The normal price is 100 whateverthehell points. That's $1. It's pocket change, but it's the principle of the matter. It's a damn dot that players should unlock without even trying, or just be a standard option in the menu. There's price gouging, then there's charging a buck for a dot. This is just blatant greed. The actual black market might have more scruples than this.
