I've always seen Huniepop and wondered to myself, “Why is Huniepop so successful?” Now if you enjoy the game, that’s completly fine, it just never appealed to me. But maybe my disinterest for Huniepop is based on the fact that it failed to deliver what I wanted. It failed as an adult game for me.

How can you fail as an adult game when you have hot babes like this!?

Huniepop is a tile-matching and dating sim adult game. The game has a selection of girls to pick from sporting their own personalities and are accompanied by english voice acting. Yea! This sound like the makings of one of the best western adult games to be made, but that all falls apart once we get to the sex scenes. In Huniepop, the sex scenes equates to being you playing the tile-matching mini game as the girl of your choice moans as you match the right tiles. That’s not a sex scene! Where’s my dialogue, where’s my description, where’s my hands free option?! And not to mention a serious waste of english voice acting. And once you’re done with the “sex” you’re rewarded with a sexy picture of the girl. Wow...that’s hot...a hot disappointment!

Now if you enjoy Huniepop as a tile-matching game or for its characters, that’s fine. But as an adult game, it fail to deliver what I want/expect from an adult game. I hope that Huniepop 2 expands on the sex part of the game but I doubt that will happen.
