Have you ever been hacked before? Has someone ever tried to hack you? I’ve never been hacked before, but people have tried to hack me a few times, and I never fall for them. But some people aren’t as lucky as me, and it sucks. An animator you most likely know really well on this site, AmateurThrowaway, got hacked last year and is slowly recovering.

So the hacking works like this. A person, maybe someone you know, asks you to review their game. Which is when they will send you a link to play said game. When you click the link, you’ll see a “game download” link, and once you click that, I’m assuming that you download a fake game, and they get access to your computer or account. I’m not completely sure how it works, since I never even got past the clicking the link part, but here’s screenshots of someone's experience.

Ever since tricks like this have been occurring more often, I’ve been more scared to just click random links people send me. But it seemingly isn’t just the link, you have to download something as well. It sucks that scams like this exist. It makes surfing through the internet more scary and makes me more paranoid. Just keep your wits about yourself, and the weird things people might want you to click. And never review tests of someone's game.
