I haven’t talked about the whole VIc situation in awhile, and with some new, saucy audios being released, I had to give my two cents once again on the topic. Funimation had said that Vic was fired because of information gathered during their investigation. One of the “big” things they found in the investigation was a jelly bean joke that Vic said towards Monica Rial. Monica wrote her name on a jelly bean and gave it to VIc, which he then ate and stated, “I guess you can say I ate Monica.” The most hardest form of sexual harassment if I ever heard of one. So if Vic was fired over such a joke, what kind of jokes do the other Funimation voice actors make in the workplace? Well, how about we take a look.

Now you guys have to understand, I don’t give a fuck about these jokes. Sure, some of them could be seen in bad taste, but jokes or jokes. The intent always matters. If the intent was to make people laugh, then okay, but if the intent was to hurt someone, then it’s bad. I don’t think these jokes were made to hurt gays, women, or black people. I think they were made for dumb shits and giggles, but it’s the double standard that got me triggered. Vic makes a small joke about eating Monica, which was prompted by the jelly bean that was given to him, and he gets fired. Other Funimation voice actors make incest, homophobic, rape, misogynistic, and pedophilic jokes, and get nothing. Yeah, real fair Funimation.
