Doki Doki Literature Club Makes a Comeback
By Yung Namahage • 2 years ago

It's been four years since Team Salvato's macabre subversion of otaku and waifu culture caught the hearts and turned the stomachs of many across the internet. Doki Doki Literature Club spawned a ton of reaction videos, memes, lewds, as well as speculation of a sequel. Well, it isn't getting a sequel just yet, but Sayori, Natsuki, Yuri and Monika are back to welcome you to their club once again.

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus is a remastered and expanded version of the game, featuring updated HD artwork, 6 new side stories, over 100 unlockable images and 13 new music tracks plus an in-game music player. The game will also be coming to consoles for the first time, namely PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch, alongside PC.

There's also a limited physical edition that comes complete with cute little character standees, a set of stickers, a membership card, a download code for the soundtrack on a floppy disc-shaped card and a nice poem written by Monika herself. This version is exclusive to PS4, PS5 and Switch from Serenity Forge.

I enjoyed DDLC back in the day (Yuri best girl) and the addition of new story content has me intrigued. What about you guys, have you played it before? Would you be interested in playing it again? Would it even hit the same if pretty much everyone knows the twist by now? Let us know below!
