In an interview with Gematsu seen HERE, Senran Kagura producer Kenichiro Takaki has broken the news that, due to PlayStation's new puritan moves, launching Senran Kagura 7EVEN as they originally intended is "impossible to release". A couple of quotes to put this into perspective:

"It seems the original idea we had imagined [for Senran Kagura 7EVEN] would be impossible to release. So we’re redoing, or rather reconsidering, everything about the game…Right now, I’m really worried about what to do."

"The regulation movement isn’t restricted to PlayStation, but it’s been spreading across all platforms, all genres, around the world, and I was expecting a time like this would come someday. However, it ended up coming sooner than I expected, and I find myself suddenly wondering what to do."

I've gone into detail about how Nintendo and Sony seem to be switching roles, but to wit, Moero Hyper Chronicle will be releasing on the Switch, as far as I'm aware, without any changes. Sony's push to shove ridiculous, antiquated, moral standards on their consumer base has finally killed a highly anticipated game. This is the gaming scene now, and it is a terrible place.
