U.N Make Plans to Potentially Put an End to Loli & Shota Hentai

Remember when our sister site, Hentai0, got a request from the Russian government to remove some loli content ? That might be happening a lot more often soon.

The United Nations has proposed a plan to restrict online content with the intention to prohibit the spread of child pornography on the internet, known as the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, or OPSC. There's a draft of the proposed initiative available on the OHCHR website, which describes how the U.N can restrict things like child trafficking, prostitution, and underage pornography. But its definition of what constitutes child pornography seems to include loli and shota hentai that depicts fictional characters who appear to be underage:

“Child pornography is defined in article 2 OPSC as ‘any representation of a child engaged in real or simulated explicit sexual activities, regardless of the means used, or any representation of the sexual parts of a child for primarily sexual purposes’. The qualification ‘by whatever means’ reflects the broad range of material available in a variety of media, online and offline. It includes, inter alia: visual material such as photographs, movies, drawings and cartoons; audio representations; any digital media representation; live performances; written materials in print or online; and physical objects such as sculptures, toys, or ornaments.1"

"The Committee urges States parties to prohibit, by law, child sexual abuse material in any form. The Committee notes that such material is increasingly circulating online, and strongly recommends States parties to ensure that relevant provisions of their Criminal Codes cover all forms of material, including when the acts listed in article 3.1(c) are committed online and including when such material represents realistic representations of non-existing children.”

The reasoning behind this seems to be that such content, even if it's drawn and causes no harm to anyone in real life, minor or not, it may encourage people to go out and harm existing children, and furthers the creation of more "real" child porn. In the case of uncertainty, this means that it will have to be decided by representatives of the U.N if certain content is deemed offensive or not:

“The Committee is of the view that “simulated explicit sexual activities” should be interpreted as including any material, online or offline, that depicts or otherwise represents any person appearing to be a child engaged in real or simulated sexually explicit conduct and realistic and/or virtual depictions of a child engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Such depictions contribute to normalising the sexualisation of children and fuels the demand of child sexual abuse material.

“Moreover, for the reasons explained in paragraph 63, any representation of the sexual parts of a child, including realistic images of the sexual organs of a child, for primarily sexual purposes falls under the definition of this offence. Where it may be complicated to establish with certainty if a representation is intended or used for “primarily sexual purposes”, the Committee deems it necessary to consider the context in which it is being used.”

Of course, there;'s no guarantee this proposal will actually be accepted by the U.N, but if it does it means there could be some big changes in the online hentai industry within the next few years.

Do you think loli and shota doujins will be wiped off the face of the internet? Do they deserve to be? Let us know in the comments.

By the UN's 'logic', violent video games, movies, and TV shows are dangerous given they will cause people to commit real violence. Honestly, their suggestion sounds like BS to me, given these are fictional characters not real-life. Why are they so focus on this than actual child slavery, porn, and other things that truly are harming children in the world?

And yet murder and other games with killing and war is seen as wholesome aa it teaches you to join the military and not go off on a killing spree cause guns are fun

Will it be wiped off? No lol. It's amusing to think they can do something like that though. Nothing can ever be wiped out on the internet, it will just be harder to find. And Hentai sites like this and many others, Gelbooru and other Booru sites people will still have their Loli and Shota doujins/hentai.

So first they ban the depiction of these acts in fiction then the people turn to real people to have their links satisfied, I sense backlash coming

It's kind of bullshit if you ask me, yes……Child Abuse is a problem, but it's not because of Loli or Shota Hentai. No, it's the Disgusting Pedophilic Bastards that are the problem ………I don't think they should Ban Shota or Loli Hentai as the characters are specifically referred to AS Adults by the creators.

If the characters were stated to be an Actual child in universe THEN we have a problem

That's a good question though. Will it lead to that? Because they did say violent games movies music TV Yada Yada would cause them to do said things. So far there hasn't been any proof of those claims of course but I feel like they should focus on the trafficking and actual child porn first before they worry too much about cartoon drawings. Definitely a conversation that's not as easy as it seems.

It's like saying Call of Duty makes Soldiers, Assassin's Creed makes Killers, & Grand Theft Auto makes Criminals, when it's something within Someone prier before discovery or already Insane.. Drawings of Fake Characters doesn't make Pedos, it's there prier..
