Another day, another person getting mad at male voice acting. Now before anyone gets on my ass, I’m not trying to defend male voice acting or say we need it, I think we should all have a choice. If you like male voices in your animation, cool, if you don’t, that’s also cool. All I ask is that everyone respect each other's choices and handle things like adults, unlike these people on F95zone.

A never end argument that seemingly never sees a resolution. I feel like a big thing that many people don’t understand is that in the grand scheme of everything, the animator is paying for all the voices, and also needs to make a profit back from their investment. And the people who're begging for male voice acting need to understand that the majority of the people who are going to spend their money on the animation, are people who would rather hear only the female compared to the male, since people are usually self inserting themselves.

But also, if the animator is adding male voices, and you’re not paying, you don’t have any real weight in the conversation. You’re already getting it for free, whether it’s from the creators free releases, or you’re finding them out in the seven seas. If you’re not spending any money to help lessen the animator's burden, then keep your opinions to yourself.

And well, after the release and getting feedback from their patreons, they started making a version without male voices with their next D.Va project.

And going forward, it seems like that’s what they’ll be doing, giving people an option to have it with or without.

Which I respect the decision. Their the creator, and their the one putting the money into the project. Everyone asking for male voice acting, and everyone asking for male voices to be removed, put your money where your mouth is and donate to Bewyx Patreon and make your opinion heard.
