While games like Okami showcase Japan's famous brush style of art, and Sengoku Basara touches upon an important time in Japanese history, although taking some liberties along the way, Nippon Marathon blows them all away, showing us just how insane that place can be.

Japanese gameshows are famous for being just insane. Wacky as anything. This game makes that a home experience. It's essentially a race through different Japanese locales, facing hurdles and obstacles, all while looking as crazy as their gameshows. It's one of those games that looks and feels buggy, but the sort of buggy that crazy games are known for. Things can also wear thin. Overall, it's the epitome of a crazy Japanese game. I mean, one of the characters is an old guy in a schoolgirl uniform.
