The funny thing is, I saw this game pop up on my Twitter feed from time to time, and I’ve always thought it looked cool. I knew it was an indie game being made by a studio that hasn’t done anything before, so I kind of just always left it in the back of my mind, not following it or checking for updates. I’m pretty sure a lot of us have been hyped about cool looking indie games before, only for them never to come out. I didn’t want to be cucked again, so I decided to not put too much focus on it. But after the Playstation livestream, The State of Play, an indie game that has been in development is finally about to see the light of day, and that’s Eternights.



A game inspired by the Persona series, Eternights is an action rpg with dating sim elements. Which sounds like a pretty decent concept for an enjoyable game. But the thing a lot of games that are inspired by Persona fail at, is the story. They add the anime style and dating sim elements without adding the thing that makes Persona different from a lot of generic rpg dating sims, and that’s a good and thought provoking story. Hopefully Eternights didn’t skip over the story part, and just thought a cool combat system and waifu dating would be enough to be considered a great game.

With that being said, with a 2023 release date, I’m really excited to get my hands on Eternights. The game looks beautiful, and the combat looks interesting, exciting, and enjoyable. From looking at the creators Twitter page, fkkcloud, this is a massive passion project that’s finally becoming a reality. It’s always such a joy to see someone's love and hard work finally paying off. He reached out to the truth, and was rewarded for it.
