Demon Slayer Season 2 Pleasure District Arc to Air Uncensored
By Yung Namahage • 2 years ago

People have some high expectations for the next season of Demon Slayer after the unprecedented success of the Mugen Train movie. It's not long until we see Tanjiro's next mission: searching for lost demon slayers amid the haunted whorehouses of Yoshiwara. This latest news gives some idea of what to expect from the next arc.

Fuji TV have announced that the TV broadcast of Demon Slayer's next season will air every Sunday at 11:15PM in Japan starting this October. The channel also confirmed that the season will air uncensored and unedited in accordance with regular TV standards.

This might not mean much to us in the west who'll be streaming it online, but seeing as the first arc of the new season takes place in one of Japan's most infamous historical red light districts there's bound to be at least some mention or portrayal of the world's oldest profession. It may be a shonen anime but airing that late at night means it could get away with some properly contextualized fanservice. At the very least, we know that there won't be any uncensored too-hot-for-TV moments they'll save for the home media release.

Demon Slayer comes to Funimation in the west this October. Are you guys hyped? Let us know what you think in the comments!
