Tanjiro & Co Visit Pleasure District in Demon Slayer Season 2
By Yung Namahage • 3 years ago

It's been a while since the first season of Demon Slayer ended. Since then we got news of not one, but two video games based on the popular series, as well as the brilliant Mugen Train movie, which surpassed Sprited Away and became Japan's biggest box office hit ever. Not just the highest-grossing anime movie, but the highest-grossing movie, period.

Now Ufotable have given us a look at what to expect in the anime's second season, which will cover the manga's Pleasure Quarter arc. In it, Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke are sent by Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui to the Yoshiwara district of Edo to find his three wives, who went missing while investigating demon activity in the area. Yoshiwara was a famous red light district back when Tokyo was called Edo, which also had its own arc in Gintama. The trio of demon slayers disguise themselves as prostitutes to infiltrate brothels and find the monster they're looking for, who may be closer than they think. What's the worst that could happen?

As awesome as that trailer was it sadly doesn't give us a specific date for when the new season will drop, but it will be coming some time this year. Are you hyped for the return of Demon Slayer? What did you think of that trailer? Drop your thoughts below as always!
