Demon Slayer Makes the Jump to Video Games
By Yung Namahage • 4 years ago

The breakout shonen series of 2019 returns! After announcing a movie, it would only make sense to bring Tanjiro & co to the world of gaming. And we have not one, but two games to look forward to!

Firstly, there's Kimetsu no Yaiba: Keppu Kengeki Royale - a multiplayer survival action game for smartphones where a team of demon slayers face off against a team of demons, natch. Play as Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, Zenitsu or Susamaru, Yahaba, Kyogai and more as you hunt down and defeat the opposing team. Catch some snippets of gameplay in the reveal trailer here:

Secondly, there's Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppuutan for PS4. We don't know much about this yet other than it's being developed by frequent anime game studio CyberConnect2 (Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja StormJoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven). Is it a hack n' slash? An adventure game? Or yet another anime arena brawler? It's too soon to say, but you can catch a very short glimpse of it here:

Keppu Kengeki Royale is set for release on iOS and Android phones in Japan later this year, while Hinokami Keppuutan is slated for 2021. Which are you looking forward to the most? What do you expect from a Demon Slayer game? Who would you pick as your main? Let us know below!
