To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever played or even touched any of the Bayonetta games. Watching a playthrough was probably about as close as I ever got considering the huge amount of sexual themes and content. Lord knows it wasn’t a game I could purchase and play in the living room with mom watching. Regardless, some games are so influential that you know some general facts about them even without ever playing yourself. Witch time, her sexy dances, the hair that’s also her clothes, the CLIMAX mechanic, I’m familiar with these legends as they transcended the boundaries of the game and often made their way into meme culture. However, with Bayonetta 3, the developers have implemented a new mode called Naive Angel, that aims to help draw in more players who don’t really want to see Bayonetta’s ass shaking while grandpa looks on from the Thanksgiving dinner table.

In this mode, the partial nudity will be covered up in order to make it seem like you’re not playing a porn game on the family TV. Now I must make it clear, this mode is not blatant censorship or anything. According to the developer, this installment of the witch will be “sexier than ever” if that’s even possible. It will be completely optional whether or not you want to use Naive Angel mode and keep your eyes sacred. This is one of the best implementations in my opinion. Players who have to live with other people or family around may find it useful while players who are trying to play Bayonetta 3 with one hand only won’t be forced into any kind of censorship scenario because of it. Who knew that giving players options was so neat?

Originally unveiled way back in 2017, the game will finally be dropping later this year on October 28, making it the perfect way to spend some time with witches this Halloween. It’ll be exclusive to the Switch though so keep that in mind before anyone gets too excited. One thing is for sure, I’ll be hype for a fresh round of Bayonetta lewds pouring out of the Internet come October and November. I can count on her ass being trending for a while.
