Recently I covered a very wacky story with twists and turns about a guy spending way too much money on OnlyFans. It’s a long one so I’ll leave links to the first and second installments, but today I wanted to narrow the focus down to the idea of reputation damage. Assuming the man’s enlightening podcast interview was true and his character was never as it was portrayed, he has now become known as an obsessive pervert creep for no reason. Actually the reason was money but he didn’t seem to be compensated enough for such widespread viral damage to his reputation and was unaware of the fact how bad his portrayal would be constructed. Therefore I wanted to ask y’all: what would it take for you to become known as a perverted simp to the world?

In this hypothetical let’s say it’s pretty much exactly as described here. You get involved in a controversy and are painted, with fake evidence, as a psycho simp obsessed with some popular lewd Internet personality. Just about everyone in the country follows the story and you will occasionally get recognized in public. Of course this includes friends and family. Do you have a monetary number in mind? For me I’m sitting right around $10,000,000. There’s a chance I won’t be able to achieve a steady career for a while being known as the master simp. Therefore I want a sum of money large enough that I could anticipate living off of it for several years if not my entire remaining lifespan. Thankfully Doujins wouldn’t fire me in this case for obvious reasons so I’d at least have some partial income coming in on top of the lump sum. For me the biggest hit would be family. My true friends wouldn’t care if I was or wasn’t a simp, but if I elaborated, they’d believe me when I explained the evidence was fabricated. My family on the other hand… my parents will likely believe me or just accept to love me regardless, but pretty much everyone else outside of them will probably condemn me to hell and tell me to enjoy suffering with Satan for eternity for my sins.

I’ll miss seeing the rest of my family once a year on Thanksgiving… but for $10 million or more that’s a price I’m willing to pay. What would it take for you to be branded a simp in the public eye?
