The Game Awards are almost here, on December 12th, weβll see which game this year getβs crowned Game of the Year, and I hope itβs not a DLC.
With The Game Awards creeping closer and closer, itβs time for people to vote and consider what they think the Game of the Year should be. And me bringing up DLC is no joke, The Game Awards is allowing Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree to be nominated for game of the year, which for me personality, I kind of donβt agree with.
The Game of the Year Award should be awarded to actual, full on games. You have to play and get to a certain part in Elden Ring, to even make Shadow of the Erdtree playable. I feel like needing to play a game, to even experience another game, is already making it inaccessible to most players. Game of the Year should be for GAMES, not DLC. Thatβs like me saying that Hades should be Game of the Year 2024, just because I played it in 2024, even though it was released in 2020.
So thatβs my stance on that controversy, but the true question is, whatβs my Game of the Year? Well, if youβve been reading some of my articles, youβd already know the answer to that question. But I guess Iβll just leave this little image here.
Whatβs your Game of the Year 2024? Do you think DLC should be able to be nominated for Game of the Year? Would you be mad if Elden Ring wins another Game of the Year? Tell us in the comments.
But if anything, Stellar Blade should be best Action Game.
At the end of the day though, I don't give a shit and just watch for the new trailers and announcements of you can play it...RIGHT NOW! *Crowd goes wild, soy face ect ect blah blah blah*
