We finally got a trailer for the upcoming Trigun 3D animated series, and it’s looking to be a complete reboot of the original series.



The trailer really helps us understand what we’re getting with this project. The 3D looks really good, smooth, and pleasing to the eyes. Hell, it almost looks like this is going to be a movie, instead of an anime series. Vash has also gotten a complete redesign, which some might have a problem with and wish he still had his pineapple spiky hair, but the new look is fitting for a new direction. 

Now this could be seen as a good thing or a bad thing in my opinion. Good cause it being 3D most likely already had people worried about the series and if it’d ruin the original series, so it being a reboot help newcomers enjoy this new retelling of Vash’s story, while old heads don’t have to see their original baby ruined. And it’s a bad thing, because people who missed out on Trigun when they were younger, still can only experience the original through the anime or manga, which is really dated at this point. Something I also saw about this reboot is that the two main female characters weren’t seen. This is only the first trailer and seems that the point of it was more so to show off the new Vash and 3D animation, so in future reveals, it’s a possibility the two will be showing up with designs and looks.

But overall, I think this new Trigun project is looking to be interesting, and something to at least keep an eye on.
