Spoilers Are Becoming Unavoidable
By ImJustThatKinky • 1 year ago

I thought just doing anime news was bad enough. Since I’m always looking deep into anime news, I figured that avoiding spoilers would be hard. Which yeah, it is hard avoiding spoilers when in my line of work. But, it’s hard to avoid spoilers for the normal folks out there nowadays as well. And if I didn’t make it clear based on the topic of this article, I’ll be talking about spoilers, and they’ll be for the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, My Hero Academia manga, Witch of Mercury, and Chainsaw Man

Back in the day, you only had to worry about seeing spoilers if you were curious on what’s trending, and dig too deep into it. But now, something as simple as fan art can be a spoiler. I just wanted to look at some sexy My Hero porn, but instead, I got hit with a spoiler.

So now I can’t even enjoy my porn without getting spoilers. And then, you get the people on Youtube and Twitter. I remember when people would report on a new chapter or episode, but make the title and thumbnail inconspicuous. But now, whatever big moment in that specific chapter or episode, it’s all slapped on the title and thumbnail. That’s what happened when Jujutsu Kaisen started trending because of a big event that happened in the manga, which now I know what happens because of damn Youtubers.

Even fucking official companies can’t hold back from spoiling things. Even Crunchyroll's official Youtube page is a landmine of spoilers.

Very subtle Crunchyroll.

So it sucks, even manga readers aren’t safe because of the raws that sometimes can start spreading around if something crazy happens. People can’t just hold back anymore and have to talk about the latest thing that happens publicly. I never wanted anime and manga to get too mainstream, cause this is the result of that.

Do you think it’s hard to avoid spoilers? Are you getting spoiled by series you’re following currently? Do you people spoil things too easily? Tell us in the comments.
