Soul Hackers 2 is looking like it’s going to be another Atlus banger. I wanted to get Shin Megami Tensei 5, but time just got away from me, so I’m hoping to actually sink my teeth into this one. With the second PV dropping, the game is looking hella fun.



Now the first thing you’ll notice is that they have sexy, futuristic waifus. So our Atlus waifus are checked. Another thing you might notice is that this game looks darker than past Shin Megami Tensei, and a hell of a lot darker than Persona. Maybe it’s because they can finally show violence through human size 3D models, instead of sprite or text, but her getting shot in the leg by a shotgun really had me wincing.

That shit look like it hurt.

I saw some people complaining that the game is looking too bright and like new school anime, compared to the old Soul Hackers. Which is true, but that’s been a trend with Atlus as of late. Give it that new anime coat of paint, while keeping the dark and deep story telling. 

So I’m excited for the game, and excited to see what NSFW artists do with these waifus. It’s always a good day for lewds when we get a new Shin Megami Tensei title.
