If you were looking forward to playing the upcoming remaster of lewd on-rail shooter Gal*Gun on Xbox then I'm afraid you're getting the gift of bad news this Boxing Day.

Developer Inti Creates have confirmed that Gal*Gun Returns will not be coming to "Xbox family consoles," meaning Xbox One or Series X/S. Here is the full statement released on the game's Twitter page:

If you ask me, "unable to ensure consistency of experience across all platforms" sounds like Microsoft wanted a few changes made to the game before they were allowed to release it, but Inti Creates pulled the plug on it instead of yielding to their demands. While PC and Switch pre-orders won't be affected, it must suck hard for those who were planning on getting the full Birthday Suit Edition for Xbone.

Gal*Gun Returns will be coming to Windows and Switch worldwide on February 12. Are you disappointed in the cancellation of the Xbox version?
