Well, I guess Crunchyroll has given up on making their own anime, after the tragedy called High Guardian Spice flopped super hard. Now they’re going back to the basics and doing something they did pretty decently at, and that’s partnering up with webtoons and anime studios, to bring them to Crunchyroll. And the webtoon that gets the honor of being on Crunchyroll this time around is the very popular webtoon series, Solo Leveling.

First a Solo Leveling game was announced, and now an anime. Solo Leveling fans are eating good, but how good? It’s great that Cruchyroll is helping bring webtoons into anime, but at what cost. Everyone has their different opinion on the webtoons that Crunchyroll has published. I actually enjoyed Tower of God, but Nobless and God of High School didn’t really cut it when it came to being good adaptations of their source material. So you have to wonder, will Solo Leveling also be a flop of an adaptation? 

Every fan if they fuck up the anime.

The studio behind the animation will be A-1 Pictures, a partnership between Aniplex and Crunchyroll, and we should be getting more information in July. So I’ll be keeping my eyes and ears out for more news on Solo Leveling for all you guys.
