Yep, it was that time of the year again for me. Time to head into that awful place known as the dentist’s office. Okay let me be real, I don’t think I hate the dentist’s as much as many other people. I have a strong gag reflex so I have to be careful to control my breathing and stay calm during regular check ups, but other than that it’s usually a breeze. However, lately oral porn has become a staple in my library and it’s making it hard to see mouths in the same way. I’ve always been a bit weirded out by having to watch someone’s tongue move around when they talk and take special care to keep my mouth sealed as much as possible when chewing and talking. Now that my monkey brain has associated mouths with sexual shit, I’m even more careful. Where am I going with this? Well having to open wide and show my mouth to the dentist reminded me of the last time I had to show my dick to the doctor.

I’m not sure if it’s due to a lack of insurance or that it’s uncommon for young people to do very few physicals in general, but I only remember having to show my dick one time and it was for a regular checkup scenario. However, of course it was a female doctor so I was already a bit on edge even though nothing was wrong with it. I think my main fear was the same as every other dude who’s had to show his dick to a nurse in a professional setting: “please don’t get hard, please don’t get rock hard, please stay soft you little shit”. Luckily for me, the social awkwardness of having to display my member to a woman while my mom was either in the room or waiting outside (I can’t remember, it was many moons ago) kept the blood from daring to head down south. I was probably even softer than usual. I tell you all this because I know one day I’ll have to do it again, and I’m banking on the fact that it’s such an awkward situation that it’ll always prevent me from getting hard. Especially if the next time I go to do it, it’s a dude.

Now I have several questions I want to ask you guys about this topic. For starters, have you ever had a strange interaction during one of these checkups? Get hard and feel weird about it? Secondly, would you prefer the doctor to be the same sex as you or opposite? While I don’t like the risk of getting hard in front of a female doctor, I also don’t like the idea of having to show another dude my dick either. At the end of the day I know healthcare professionals that work in these areas are no strangers to privates and it doesn’t even phase them anymore, but it’s still hard to trust that 100% all the time. Good thing these dick checks are rare.
